Iphone 5 Cases
Iphone 5 Cases
Spigen, way to hit a home run. I have been a
faithful Otterbox case user for sometime. When I saw this on Amazon
while searching through literally hundreds of cases, this one sang to
me. I received my Spigen Tough Armor case today in the mail.
Unexpectedly, the stick-on home buttons and screen protectors were a
bonus. Well packaged and well received. Ship time was quick considering
and excluding the known wait time of the advertised release date. Now to
the case.
Great job with keeping it slim. I have had Defender and Commuter cases alike, and this is wailing on them. The case is very nice in the hand, not overbearing, and keeps the iPhone slim like its supposed to be. The face is opened up like it's not in a case, yet the lip keeps a bumper extended far enough out to lay it on its face. The interchangeable plate on the back is a nice touch for added protection. Also, I immediately checked the piece that connects between the home button and battery charge (a known breaking point on iPhone cases), good job. Thick yet pliable to flex.
I will not be test dropping this on purpose as I am not that dedicated to jack up my phone. I do trust that the air pocket design you have designed on the corners will work. Otterbox has a serious design flaw in their rubber 1st layer. My Commuter I WAS using was starting to expand. The battery and flap wouldn't stay closed, and drove me crazy. I would rather not have it, if it were going to fail. The internal crisscross design and material you have used will surely stand up under age. The buttons are flawless. Power, volume up and down work so well.
I am the guy that spends hours researching, reading reviews, and watching videos before buying. Spigen, this is why I am writing a full evaluation. Read more ›
